Biography

Chris Brigman began his legal career as an attorney in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a Litigation Attorney handling primarily Family Law, Criminal, and Child Protective Services cases. Prior to law school Chris graduated from the Michigan State University's James Madison College.

After building his private practice he joined the Grand Rapids Law Group and began working on Immigration cases and Interstate (and Country) Child Custody disputes. After practicing for five (5) years in Michigan, he moved with his wife, Jessica Schilling Brigman, back to her hometown of Fort Ripley, Minnesota. He began working as an Associate Attorney at the Rosenmeier Law Office in July 2018.

Chris served his community as the President of Mississippi Connections, as a board member of the Morrison County Area Foundation, as a member of the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, and as the Fort Ripley City Attorney. Chris also serves as a part-time Assistant Public Defender for Todd County, MN.

In 2021 Chris became a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice and began mediating Divorce and Family Law cases.

He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota State Courts, Michigan State Courts, and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Western District of Michigan.

Since becoming an attorney he has worked in many areas of law including Criminal Defense (Petty Misdemeanor, Misdemeanor, Gross Misdemeanor, Felony, Presumptive Commitments, Probation Violation Hearings), Real Estate, Actions to Quiet Title, Title Research and Reviews, Torrens, Wills, Trusts, Probate, Guardianships, Conservatorships, Child Support Modification, Child Custody, Child Protective Services Cases, Interstate Custody Disputes dealing with the UCCJEA, Dissolution/Divorce, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Eviction, Judgments, Garnishments, Corporations, Partnerships, LLC's, Immigration, Social Security Disability and Civil Litigation.
