Mediation

The court process can be long and difficult, as well as costly. If you are dealing with a divorce or family law issue and want to attempt a voluntary process to resolve your case, you should consider mediation.

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution recognized by the Court system. An effective tool for resolving case, mediation is used in most divorce and family law cases.  Many courts require parties to attempt mediation before litigating issues, and for good reason.  A skilled, qualified neutral can help parties in many ways.  By being outcome-oriented, a skilled mediator can help parties prioritize issues and resolve them without excessive fighting.  By being compassionate, a skilled mediator can help a party work through issues and make difficult decisions.

Mediation is a voluntary process, guided by the parties, so we only do what you are willing to do.  If you are willing to try mediation, and are looking for a skilled mediator, contact Chris to set up an appointment.

Chris Brigman is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.
